IT firms caught in attrition trap

The astronomical growth rate in the software industry is comparable to only the rising attrition rates among employees.

Growth and attrition seems to be going hand in hand for most Indian software services companies.

Almost all publicly listed Indian software services companies have witnessed a rise in their attrition rates as compared to last year.

Among the top companies, Infosys seems to be relatively more successful in controlling its attrition rate.

Infosys' net addition to its workforce during the quarter ended September, 2004 was 5,030 people.
