Infosys @ CTP: IT’s just not on

Good ol’ bureaucracy is holding back Information Technology giant Infosys from launching its operations at the Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park (CTP).

Inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh last September, the CTP is expected to make the city a dream IT destination — a la Bangalore. But Infosys, the anchor company of CTP’s first phase, is still awaiting Customs clearance for import of equipment, mainly computers, under the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status, sources said.
