Infosys is undisputed numero uno

has been a decent run for the ET500 companies with a growth in market cap by 25% compared to the last edition. Infosys has once again bagged the number one spot after leading in the June ‘05 edition of ET500 as well.

Going by the fact that eight performance parameters have been considered to arrive at the rank of ET500 companies, it is laudable that Infosys has emerged as the numero uno for the second time in a row. TCS and Wipro occupy the second and third ranks, respectively.

How Infosys is growing BIG in China

The Chinese Dragon, or Lung, symbolises power and excellence, valour and boldness, heroism and perseverance, nobility and divinity. A dragon overcomes obstacles until success is his. He is energetic, decisive, optimistic, intelligent and ambitious.

In October 2003, Infosys set up a wholly owned subsidiary in China named Infosys Technologies (Shanghai) Co Ltd with an initial capital of $5 million. Today, Infosys's Chinese subsidiary is the company's hub for software services and alternative deliveries in the Asia-Pacific region.

But Infosys, the anchor company of CTP’s first phase, is still awaiting Customs clearance for import of equipment, mainly computers, under the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status, sources said.
